How To Get Weeding, Mowing and Maintenance Happening

It is important that we all work together as a community to keep Cumbalum and the surrounding areas maintained. To do this we need to take action as follows:

(1) Note down the area that needs to be weeded, mowed or maintained in some way.

For example this could be:

  • Weeding required of the Roundabout on The Ridgeway leading to Perkins Close.

  • Weeding and clearing out of the rubbish in the pond in Campbell’s Common, at the end of Lindsay Avenue.

  • Mowing of the BBQ and Park and Kid’s playground areas on Cummings Crescent.

(2) Contact Ballina Shire Council by email or phone call:

OR

  • Phone Ballina Shire Council: 1300 864 444 (opt 4 – parks and reserves) and advise the council person of the area needing maintenance.

(3) Allow 10 days to 14 days for the Ballina Shire Council to take action and schedule the maintenance to happen. And if this has not been attended to by then, contact Council again – noting when you contacted them and advising them that the matter has not yet been attended to.

With different people getting in touch with the council and advising which specific areas need maintenance, we will see more speedy results and they get to know exactly which areas are needing the maintenance and at what moment/time of the year etc.

Thanks for your support and input in keeping Cumbalum and the surrounding areas weeded, mowed and maintained!
