Speeding up Maintenance Requests in Cumabalum

Cumbalumresidentsassociation@gmail.com

Do you know about the App called SNAP SEND SOLVE? Read on to find out how to quickly and effectively report areas that require maintenance to Council - with just a few simple clicks to a button...

Most residents of Cumbalum are keen to see this area cared for and looked after, and this a strong topic that continuously comes up within our community meetings in relation to the need for more regular and increased quantity and quality of the current maintenance schedules of the parks, roundabouts, and surrounding vegetation.

Whilst we do live in a sub-tropical area and vegetation growth can be significant from week to week particularly in summer, Council’s adopted service level for mowing activities are consistent throughout the shire and mowing is typically undertaken on a two week cycle.

There are other areas of maintenance such as weeding or repairs or identifying hazards that are also important to alert to Council. Once this has been reported to Council they generally act on these maintenance items within 2 weeks of initially being reported by one or several residents.

As residents of any area in NSW and wider, we can all take action to support our Councils by flagging areas that require maintenance by using an App called SNAP SEND SOLVE

Start by downloading a free App called SNAP SEND SOLVE which instantly allows you to take a picture and submit it to your local council area automatically (can submit around general requirements, overgrown vegetation, hazards etc).

OR alternatively, you can go on the 'Important Links' page on this website and access the the Council page that allows you to put in a request for maintenance via an on-line form - this is not difficult to do but does require more time and a little more work to get it done.
